  • Benno de Goeij exercises his considerable production prowess even further on this release and teams up with Jochen to create one of the best releases of the year by far. Out of the two tracks, "9 Minutes" proved the most popular and gained a great deal of airplay thanks to its intense building atmosphere, epic melody and oddly self-explanatory title. However, for me "Eclipse" is the real star of the release and has become one of my personal favourites well into 2009. The track is built on a very raw tech house sound and progresses into 'trancier' areas with an addictive quasi-electro melody; think "Lost Connection" but 'bouncier' and uplifting. The breakdown is when it all comes together with a fully developed uplifting/electro sound that continues after the drop back into the complex techy foundations. A perfect compliment to the darkness (and overall sound) of the previous track. Yet another A-grade release on High Contrast!
