I'm not really sure how to describe this. It's been like an experiment that's gone immensely successful. I was looking through popsike, when I saw this album that I had never seen before. The cover is very impressive, and I couldn't leave it unnoticed. I searched more for it, and it was around on the internet, being categorised into various genres. This made me slightly uneasy a little, when buying it. Having bought it though, I can confirm that this album is 100% funk. And it's quite breath-taking funk, at that. This album is solely designed to put the wind up you, and it does that without comparison! The vocals through most of the sounds are harsh but soulful. Starting and finishing with an ominous music box, heavy, heavy guitars on the song "Thrills Of Love", that sound like the riffs off of P-Funk's "Maggot Brain" album, and its unpredictable and intense drum beats and horn sections. And of course, the cover!A gamble of a purchase, considering that it's rare and expensive, but well, well worth it.
