  • Inoffensive, glossy, tepid, directionless tracks. "CCCL" is exactly what you'd expect from Carter now: momentum but no melody or ideas to speak of; technically polished but without any particular ideas. "Post[-]industrial" is in the manner of Nine Inch Nails' "Ghosts I–IV" album; the rest sounds like John Foxx's "Tiny colour movies", and is about as memorable as that dull offering. Avoid.Postscript: Bleep.com has listed this as one of the best albums of 2018. Surely the nail in the coffin for their credibility.
