Enya - And Winter Came... download free

I consider this release the weakest album from Enya. She will forgive my words, but this album is dull and the whole Christmas theme just ruined it - not because of Christmas itself - but there is no daring moves in this particular set of songs - no new clever melodies, no innovation. I can even hear that she is recreating herself on some songs, giving me a feeling I already heard a certain tune before on some previous work. The most drastic dejavu is the title track, which is in fact, a b-side from "Wild Child" single, called "Midnight Blue" that was reworked for this album - not cool.Enya's latest CDs are much more louder than the 90's releases, and much more commercially tweaked. I prefer the time when she experimented further down the road ("Boadicea", "Triad"). When "Only Time" (2000) was released, I sensed that things started to drift away from the real Enya. Now we get most of the songs in English, and there is even an actual pop-like drum in track "My! My! Time Flies!". Her later releases are too commercial for my taste, although I found the Loxian language a nice surprise in "Amarantine" (2005). All I want is the old Enya back.
