Good album. Mekon was part of the former band "Agent Provocateur", known for their track "Red Tape" which was included in the "Jackal" OST.On his second album, each track has its own atmosphere. The urban style of "What's Going On" is not the best song made by Roxanne Shanté, who is an unbelievable artist by the way.To my mind, my favorite part of this CD goes from "Out Of My Soul", which features classical elements and the voice of the new wave singer Marc Almond, to "Eurostar", a rythmical song made with Les Rythmes Digitales.To be brief, this is mellowed big beat (apart from "Let Me Hit 'Em" and "Eurostar") combined with dance and fewer hip-hop elements. Ideal to be listened in the car.If you want the best of Mekon, listen instead to his first album "Welcome To Tackletown". It is more old-school, and particularly more big beat oriented.
